Stornoway High Street

Stornoway is on the Isle of Lewis, which is the northern-most outer Hebridean island on the Western Isles off Scotland. The chain of windy islands are beautiful and linked by bridges and ferries leading many travellers to spend their holiday island hopping. Three small airports also serve the islands, making a fly-drive holiday a good option for some visitors.
Stornoway itself is a fishing port that has grown into the main commercial centre and is known as the capital of the Hebrides. There are opportunities for everyone, golfing, seal watching, walking, shopping, the town museum or, of course the Lewis Loom Centre where you can learn about the history of Harris Tweed. The area is also steeped in history and boasts the Callanais Stones, which are 5,000 years old.

The main street going North South is Bayhead Street merging into Cromwell Street. There are 3 parallel streets going West to East: North Beach, Point Street (leading into Francis Street) and South Beach. As North Beach and South Beach have shops on only one side, we have combined these in one table but in reality they are separated by Point St, as shown.
