Elgin High Street

Elgin sits on the A96 between Inverness (40 miles) and Aberdeen (70 miles). It is the heart of the county of Moray but is still a relatively small town. Nonetheless, it has numerous little shops up and down its well preserved High Street that serve all the needs of the local communities. Many lanes link the High St with South St, we have listed the 2 main ones, Batchen St and Commerce St. On South St there are another 50 or so small independent retailers that are worth exploring.

Elgin is surrounded by some beautiful beaches and woodland, Roseile to the West, Lossie to the North and Fochabers to the East. The surrounding towns of Forres and Nairn are worth a visit and Inverness is a 'must see' place.
