Fochabers is situated on the A96 where it crosses the famous Spey river. It is only a small town of about 1,600 people but is home to one of the biggest food processing factories in Scotland. Baxters foods are well known throughout the world for their range of high quality foods. Established in 1868, the company is still run by the founding Baxter family. There is an excellent visitor centre and shops so is well worth dropping in for a visit and a bite to eat. Follow this link to learn about Fochabers' heritage. |
