Taunton High Street

Taunton is a big metropolis in Somerset with great high street shopping. Okay, maybe not a metropolis but we remember it from childhood holidays as a small town and now there are shops of every size and type lining several streets. We start in the North with the shops on Bridge St, coming down through North Street and then into the High Street. Then we move from West to East along Corporation St, Fore St and East Street. Finally, we list the shops in the Old Market Centre, a development in the centre of town with its own multi-storey car park.

Bordering the West Country county of Devon and not far from Bristol or Bath, Taunton has plenty to see and do in its own right or makes a good stop-over for those heading further down into Cornwall. With the Blackdown and Quantock Hills and surrounding moors, the area has natural beauty. Whilst in the area, don't forget to see the Cricket Museum and the take a trip on the West Somerset Railway.
